I wouldn't think they could screw up a franchise with as much reference material as Metroid. It won't be Metroid: Beach Volleyball at any rate

eh, metroid used to be big, it used to have weight, but now it's reduced to a pair of token games on each nintendo console.

really. metroid doesn't even have any weight left in it anymore. it's just.....there. metroid's on life support.

I highly disagree. I'd say Metroid has followed on the same path it's always been on. I never thought of Metroid as one of the BEST games, and I still don't. It has some amazing classics, and almost never disappoints me, and it still accomplishes that. Honestly, I think Metroid Prime 3: Corruption may be the best game of the Wii. It was definitely the most fun/new experience I had on the Wii. It was the first (and possibly only) time I really felt the Wii's purpose as a system that did more than just party games.

I think Other M will be another game that astounds and and does everything it needs to do. It won't blow anyone off their rockers, but it will be another solid, fantastic Metroid game.

another sold, good game that will just get overlooked by just about everyone but the old fans running off nostalgia.
